About

Melange. be unique. live beautiful.

Melange is a French word that means a "mixture", and we try to live up to the name in every sense. Women are a mixture of everything....classical, trendy, flirty, sophisticated, whimsical, active, casual, dressy, demure, and sexy. Clothes help express our different feelings, whims and desires.

Melange first opened her doors in 1985 in Eugene, Oregon. Always focusing on the special pieces in your wardrobe that create the backdrop to our lives, Melange has provided countless outfits over the years for big and small moments - and everything in between! The fashion has always been important, but the connections and friendships this little shop has fostered over the years is what makes Melange such a special place.

I am beyond humbled and honored to have a part in this story. This store is more than "just a store" or a "job" to me, it's everything I love, and can't imagine pouring my heart soul, sweat and tears into anything else! I remember when I was in high school, saving up my hard-earned cash, to come to Melange and buy my first pair of designer jeans. Of course, they were Citizens of Humanity, still my favorite today! Martha helped me find the perfect pair, and I felt like I was on top of the world as I walked out of the store with my new jeans. Every time I wore those pants, I felt unstoppable. That feeling feels just as strong today as it did the first time I put those jeans on. I hope that everyone has something that makes them feel unstoppable, and ready to conquer the world. Melange is committed to helping you find those special pieces that create the armor we wear daily to take on everything in our lives.
